Site-specific installation,
title plate, weeds

Installation View at Centraal Museum Utrecht

According to English Wikipedia, a weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, “a plant in the wrong place”.  Some plants are great harvests in one context however they can be regarded as wrong plants in another context. Moreover, the weed could be the species that can survive in diverse environments and reproduce aggressively; in this sense, it has even been applied to humans.

I printed the definition of weed extracted from Wikipedia on the nameplate and placed it next to the actual weeds growing on brick pavements as a site-specific installation.

The nameplate was enclosed in A4 sized box with an instruction and sold as 25 editioned works of Multiples.
